Japan and Indonesia sign MoU for nurse and care worker training

The partnership is set to guide Indonesian health workers to meet Japan’s professional workforce standards.

Japan’s Mie Prefecture and Indonesia’s Ministry of Health have partnered to implement a cooperation training programme for Indonesian nurses and care workers.

Through a memorandum of understanding (MoU) the programme will focus on providing trainees the necessary knowledge and abilities to meet the professional workforce standards in Japan.

Meanwhile, those who have completed the programme and met the qualification requirements will be prepared to enter the country’s labour market.

Through this, the initiative aims to address the demand for nurses and care workers in the prefecture.
