The Medical City Clinic wins back-to-back Primary Care Provider of the Year - Philippines Award at Healthcare Asia Awards

With a focus on industry trends and a commitment to continuous development, The Medical City Clinic exemplifies innovation and sets new benchmarks in healthcare provision.

The Medical City Clinic has secured its consecutive win as the Primary Care Provider of the Year - Philippines at the recently held Healthcare Asia Awards 2024. This recognition highlights the clinic network’s significant expansion efforts over the past year.

Major expansion boosts accessibility
The Medical City Clinic's strategic expansion played a key role in securing this win. This initiative involved establishing 10 new ambulatory care clinics and renovating eight existing ones, significantly increasing operational capacity. Notably, the expansion extended their brand of service further — reaching patients in Visayas and Mindanao. Prioritising accessibility and convenience, clinic locations were strategically chosen within local communities and commercial centres. This brings their network to a total of 60 fully-equipped clinics, supported by a team of about 1,400 physicians and 1,300 employees.

Continuous development of clinic services
The Medical City Clinic goes beyond just expanding its reach. They are continuously developing their ambulatory healthcare services within clinics. This includes incorporating more specialised management solutions for various health conditions, implementing work efficiency improvements, and introducing "Fit for Purpose" innovations. The success of this expansion is evident, with a daily average patient census increase of 4,500 vs 3,900 last year.

Focus on industry trends
“The organisation has consistently and firmly kept its eyes and ears on the ground. Intuitive understanding of the industry, customers, partners, and stakeholders has made it possible to develop and implement more proactive and time-sensitive solutions - with a sense of urgency when needed,” the President and CEO, Roberto A. Muñoz, said. This statement underlines the clinic's deep comprehension of market demands and its ability to respond swiftly.
