Citi names Aftab Ahmed as Citibank Taiwan chairman

Ahmed has worked in Citi for over 40 years.

Citi has appointed Aftab Ahmed, former Citi country officer for the Philippines, as the new chairman of Citibank Taiwan Limited (CTL), the bank announced in a press release.

Ahmed succeeds Paulus Mok, who retired as CTL chairman and Citi CEO for Taiwan in December.

Prior to his new role, Ahmed has served as global consumer banking operations and technology (O&T) head for Citi. He has worked for the bank for over 40 years.

Citi has been present in Taiwan since 1964, when it first opened a representative office. It is now the largest foreign bank in Taiwan.
