LinkAja enhances security amidst digital payment growth
Focus on security measures and strategic partnerships to bolster reliability and trust.
As Indonesia rapidly shifts from cash to digital payments, with the penetration rate expected to exceed 69% in the next few years, LinkAja is prioritising security and reliability to adapt to this growing demand.
Muhammad Rendi Nugraha, Chief Commercial Officer of LinkAja, said, "LinkAja is fully committed to ensuring secure, reliable, and protected payment services from rising cyber threats.”
LinkAja focuses on three critical areas to enhance security: the e-KYC (electronic Know Your Customer) process, fraud detection systems, and customer data protection. "We identify three important points that concern us, that we always maintain and upgrade on a regular basis," explained Nugraha. Regular external audits further reinforce LinkAja's dedication to maintaining high security levels.
To support its security initiatives and drive sustainable growth, LinkAja has shifted its business model from a primarily B2C approach to a B2B2C and B2B focus. This shift involves forming partnerships with large state-owned enterprises, such as Telkomsel, Indonesia's largest telecom operator, and Pertamina, the leading oil and gas company.
By leveraging these partnerships, LinkAja aims to enhance its product and service offerings, benefiting not only the company but also its clients and customers. "We hope this collaboration will not only benefit LinkAja but also our clients, enterprises, and customers overall," Nugraha added.
Looking ahead, LinkAja plans to capitalise on its strong B2C, B2B, and B2B2C foundations to expand further into the retail and corporate markets. The company is developing thematic applications within its ecosystem and engaging with major partners to deliver integrated loyalty programs.
"We believe in our strong profitability and fundamentals in B2C, B2B, and B2B2C, which will enable LinkAja to achieve significant growth, especially in the retail and corporate markets," Nugraha noted. By focusing on building a large captive user base without incurring high acquisition or retention costs, LinkAja aims to create a healthier, more sustainable business model.
Nugraha concluded, "We will be able to continue developing a healthier and more sustainable business with a significant increase in the number of active users and transaction value."
