Singapore banks' net interest margin to bottom out in 2014
But it will rebound in 2015.
According to Maybank Kim Eng, after four consecutive years of consistent decline, it expects NIM to stay depressed throughout 2014, before strengthening in 2015.

Despite the uptick, our projected industry NIM over the next three years remains below the 16-year average.
The earnings upswing can be powerful after several years of depressed NIM and assuming that asset quality remains benign.
